From the April 7, 2014 article, “Once, Twice, Three Times…Redux” by Bionic Mosquito at LewRockwell.com, a regular reader notes:

American libertarians like you have LRC in such high [e]steem, for good (past) reason, that you have difficulty to perceive the clearly unprincipled, biased stance of LRC on several matters.

…the last 3-4 years of LRC, for me, are marked by deep disappointment, mainly beca[u]se LRC’s proclaimed anti-state stance is subordinate to anti-US imperialism stance.

In sum, the anti-state principle is not systematically and impartially applied at LRC. It is subordinate to anti-US imperialism.

The irony is that Lew Rockwell entered into a voluntary agreement with the very same United States government that he regularly bashes and expects his readers to actually take that seriously.

I am glad to see LewRockwell.com’s obvious contradictions and tired, old rhetoric come under increasing scrutiny by others besides myself.

Despite that, some anarcho-capitalist recently commented on my post, Lew Rockwell tones down his anarcho-capitalist rhetoric in favour of more relevant and popular articles, and left in a huff when he tried to make it seem as if the two points I raised in the discussion had no real basis.

For more on Lew Rockwell, see my article, 10 questions for Lew Rockwell.

Lew RockwellAs further evidence of the “say one thing, do another” mentality of some Austrian adherents, like Lew Rockwell, in claiming to be anti-state, yet voluntarily entering into an agreement with government, here we have Lew Rockwell’s self-described “anti-state” site regularly posting state media articles by Russia Today.

Amazingly, as of January 3, 2014, LRC has published 63 articles by the state broadcaster and publisher, Russia Today! — and with their permission. (Why bother seeking permission of an entity you regard to be illegitimate?)

Here was the latest one, on January 3, 2014: “US the Biggest Threat to World Peace in 2013

If the U.S. is the biggest threat to world peace in 2013, I ask again: why did he and other founders of the Mises Institute enter into a voluntary agreement with it?

For more on Lew Rockwell’s anti-state credibility problem, see my articles:

5) Lew Rockwell entered into a voluntary agreement with the same government he regards as “far worse than the mafia”

6) The Ludwig von Mises Institute hates government so much, they’re a government-sanctioned and regulated tax-exempt organization

From lewrockwell.com. Released under the GFDL ...Lew Rockwell regularly features Paul Craig Roberts’ commentary — so long as it fits his anti-state narrative. When it doesn’t, despite being meritorious, it doesn’t get included for very transparent reasons.

No surprise, then, that we don’t find this February 14, 2013 Paul Craig Roberts article, While Left and Right Fights — Power Wins, published by LewRockwell.com in the intervening days.

Here is the reason why Rockwell didn’t include it, since Roberts correctly identifies the fundamental problem being the concentration of power — not its location:

The right is correct that government power is the problem, and the left is correct that private power is the problem. Therefore, whether power is located within the government or private sectors cannot reduce, constrain, or minimize power.

Previously, I wrote the article, Did Lew Rockwell and the Daily Bell influence Michael Snyder to abandon his call for nationalizing the Federal Reserve?

Anti-state? Oh, really?!

In my January 20, 2011 article, LewRockwell.com now pro-state? Oh Lew, say it’s not true!, I wrote about two pro-state articles published at LRC in one week alone.

The latest pro-state article to come from LRC is the January 10, 2013 article, Let’s Give Up on the (Unwritten) Constitution, where author Brion McClanahan wrote:

What the American political system needs is a good dose of federalism and decentralization and a return to the Constitution as ratified through the Tenth Amendment.

This from the site that claims it is “anti-state.” Indeed — much like how Fox News is “fair and balanced.”

The Ludwig von Mises Institute, which Lew Rockwell founded and heads, also hates government so much, they’re a government-sanctioned and regulated tax-exempt organization, and owned $4 million in U.S. Treasury Bonds in 2007 — yet none of these inconsistencies seem to matter to Mises devotees, as indicated by the replies to this post on mises.org.

Lew Rockwell Donate Screen ShotEither I hit their paywall, or my IP address was targeted because of previous hard-hitting articles I had written about Austrian economics, the Mises Institute, Gary North, Thomas DiLorenzo, Dr. Walter Block, Lew Rockwell, The Daily Bell and the infiltration of Ron Paul’s campaign, because as of December 31, 2012, I am redirected to their donation page every time I go to LewRockwell.com.

Deleting my cookies doesn’t help — it’s based on my IP address. Apparently they didn’t consider that there are ways of getting around this, and as a result, I will continue to write hard-hitting articles on the above groups and individuals.

While I give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s probably just a secret paywall and not a result of specifically targeting me, I also had given the Daily Bell the benefit of the doubt about their website numbers, only to uncover that they had lied about them.

Image representing Google as depicted in Crunc...

On June 28, 2011, I wrote about Google’s PageRank changes which rewarded those sites featuring original content, which included FauxCapitalist.com, which went from a ranking of 2 to 3.

As of November 8, 2012, I see that Google has recognized my ongoing efforts to provide unique, original content by further boosting the ranking from a 3 to a 4.

For comparison, TheDailyBell.com, with its nearly half a dozen “elves,” possible millions of dollars in financing, weekly interviews with big names in the alternative economics community and regular linking by LewRockwell.com and Alex Jones’ Infowars.com, only has a Google PageRank of 5, so let’s see if they shoot the messenger of Google like they shot the messenger of Alexa once their Alexa ranking tanked after ending comments in the face of too much negative publicity.
