James CorbettThe late Bob Chapman was known as the International Forecaster, and the new International Forecaster is James Corbett, as seen on theinternationalforecaster.com.

Corbett will be the weekly Monday regular guest on Dr. Stan Monteith’s Radio Liberty show as Bob Chapman had been, and his debut episode was July 30, 2012.

He established his independence from Bob early on, by differing with him over gold and silver certificates versus physical gold and silver, in favouring physical gold and silver. He also disclosed that he is a Canadian living in Japan, which definitely gives him an international perspective.

For my articles on the late Bob Chapman, see here.

Hand grenade 001

I first heard this claim on a show that the late Bob Chapman was a regular guest on, and heard Alex Jones repeat it on June 7, 2012, in a reflection on Bob Chapman’s life.

At 1:26, Alex Jones said:

Bob had been harassed by the FBI, he had hand grenades planted in his house.

The part about “the Feds” planting hand grenades in his house is pure fantasy, and should be treated as such, until extraordinary evidence is provided for such an extraordinary claim.

This is an example of what I find to be the lack of critical analysis among the vast majority of those in the so-called alternative media.

That the government would try to intimidate or kill Bob Chapman using such a literally explosive means strains credulity, in drawing so much unnecessary attention when there are far more subtle ways of killing someone, especially if you have the means of government at your disposal.

Even if hand grenades were planted there to intimidate him — without going off — where is the police report or local media reports of such an incident? It should’ve generated a lot of attention, given the danger it would have placed nearby residents in.

Hand grenades aren’t something you take into your own hands and dump in a nearby trash bin. The police have to be phoned, and the bomb squad has to be brought in. That would draw a lot of attention, even before the days of the World Wide Web.

I could believe that devices made to look like hand grenades were placed in his house, but there would be no way of knowing for sure until they are professionally identified, and it would be putting other people’s lives at risk to make that determination on your own.

Another variation of this story is that they tried planting hand grenades in his home. Well, saying you’ll try something isn’t anywhere close to actually doing it. We learned in March 2012 that Osama bin Laden — despite being killed for the ninth time — planned on killing Obama, but regardless of whether he was still alive to do it, he clearly didn’t do it, and such intentions were rendered of no effect.

In short, the planting of hand grenades in Bob Chapman’s house didn’t happen, but one thing it did do is boost his alternative media “street cred.”

Logo used by the "Ghostbusters" in t...

I know this will come as a surprise to many within the alternative media community, but articles by some of its prominent personalities are ghostwritten.

Erskine of Erskine Overnight had Mahesh Grossman on his August 21, 2010 show to explain the relatively underappreciated phenomenon of ghostwriting.

For example, it is acknowledged that Pat Robertson’s book, The New World Order, was ghostwritten, as was Barack Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father.

It was proven that Bob Chapman wasn’t writing all the articles published under his own name, as the day before he died, a 2500-word article bearing his name was published just a day after his daughter’s email made it clear that he was living out his last few days at home with his family, in no condition to even do a short radio interview, let alone write such a comprehensive article.

It is also clear that Ron Paul isn’t writing most, if any, of the articles published under his name. It would be laughable to suggest he is, since I once saw an article published under his name the day he was doing his duties as a Congressman, doing interviews, and participating in a televised debate that night.

Please, frequent readers and listeners of the alternative media, show some discernment in what you are being presented with, and don’t take everything you are given on face value just because it is from an “alternative” source.

Bob Chapman, known for his 30 to 40-page twice-weekly International Forecaster publication and 25 hours of radio interviews a week, was uncharacteristically curt in his responses to questions posed by Erskine on Erskine Overnight on April 21, 2012.

He recently cut back his weekly evening appearance on Radio Liberty with Dr. Stan Monteith, and if this becomes a trend, his Erskine Overnight appearance could be next.

Starting around six minutes in, he was asked four questions in succession and gave a one-sentence response. His curt responses continued throughout the interview, leading Erskine to intentionally ask less open-ended questions, sometimes to no avail, with Erskine elaborating more as he was expecting Chapman to do in his responses.

Erskine, if Bob’s as quiet in next month’s interview, I’d be more than happy to replace him as a regular guest, as I have lots to say in response to your questions.

I guest hosted Crash! Are You Ready? on Leap Day, February 29, 2012, and covered the following articles:

1) WWII-era Walt Disney propaganda paid for by the U.S. government, under the control of the Federal Reserve

2) Bob Chapman, with his 50 years of market experience: “You need to have regulated markets or they’re no good”

3) Robert Abele on a Caterpillar employee’s union allegedly selling out its members

4) Canada has more press freedom than the United States, despite hate crime laws and no unqualified first amendment right to free speech

5) Two major factors that keep Canada’s federal government on a tighter leash than that of the United States

6) Social security benefits aren’t an entitlement

English: Ticker board of Tokyo stock exchange

On the January 21, 2012 episode of Erskine Overnight, Bob Chapman, The International Forecaster, said (at 38:42):

You need to have regulated markets, or they’re no good.

And he’s not talking about self-regulation — he’s talking about government regulation.

Despite that, groups like the Mises Institute — which hates government so much, they’re a government-sanctioned and regulated tax-exempt organization, and hates monetary inflation so much, they owned $4 million in U.S. Treasury Bonds in 2007 — and The Daily Bell, whose founder “continues to advise and consult to large international banks” — continue to tell us there is no need for government regulation of markets.

Top 10

On June 13, 2011, The Activist Post came out with their list of The Top 10 Most Influential People in the Alternative Media.

Here’s how I think my work matches up with their criteria:

  • people that have the courage to seek the truth no matter where the information leads them;
  • those with the courage to question 9/11;

Demonstrated both with my April 29, 2011 article, Will Ron Paul Throw 9/11 Truth under the bus again, like he did in 2008?

  • those who don’t buy into the false left-right political paradigm;

Explicitly from my March 28, 2011 article on Media Matters’ attack on G. Edward Griffin.

I commented on my October 13, 2010 article, G. Edward Griffin Exposes the HIV/AIDS scam, about Media Matters’ attack on Griffin, which shows why the left-right paradigm is false.

And from my March 3, 2010 article, FauxCapitalist.com labeled a liberal/progressive news source! That’s news to many regular readers, which shows how my site is beyond pigeonholing in the false left/right paradigm.

  • those who are grounded in peace and liberty;

Search my site for liberty and constitution, and see the articles and analysis I provide.

  • those with the communication skills and platform to affect real change.

My articles have been re-published by Alex Jones’ Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com, Max Keiser’s MaxKeiser.com, Catherine Austin Fitts’ Solari.com, Bob Chapman’s International Forecaster, BlacklistedNews.com, and TheComingDepression.blogspot.com.

In addition, I’ve guest hosted the second-highest rated show among online listeners on GCN, George Whitehurst Berry’s Crash! Are You Ready?, and appeared as a guest on Dr. Stan Monteith’s Radio Liberty, The Intel Hub Network and the Bob Tuskin Show, both of which were accorded honourable mention in the list.

If you find my work of value to you, get the word out to a wider audience, so that it is recognized along with the work of many of the esteemed activists mentioned.
