As a sign of the times of cultural Marxism run amok, and on the public dime, no less, from the November 20, 2014 article on Canada’s national broadcaster, the CBC, they had the audacity to ask whether Canada’s third most populous province, British Columbia, should change its name, in part due to changing demographics.

Have you ever wondered why British Columbia is still called “British,” even though it’s not a colony any more? Howard Stewart has, and he wants to talk to you about it.

Stewart is a historical geographer, who has travelled all over the world. He thinks B.C. needs to have a conversation about other possible names– names that more accurately reflect the people who live there.

Here were my comments:

“By that logic, the street names in Kitchener like Cayuga and Manitou should be changed to reflect the current demographics of mostly White Europeans. The fact that this question is even being asked, and by our national taxpayer funded broadcaster, no less, is a sign of where the founding European culture of this country is headed [if] multiculturalism and sustained, mass immigration from around the world is continued.”

“Where things are headed if, not unless. And what’s with the timing? When lots of Canadians of German, Scot and Irish background moved to B.C. to retire, there was no call to have it renamed. It seems the driving force is the movement of non-European immigrants. While we’re at it, we should also change the name of Canada, since that was based upon a Native name, which the current demographics don’t reflect.”

And since they solicited comments, I sent them this email:

“With the recent CBC funding cuts, is an article and feature on one geographer’s musings about changing the name of B.C. such an important priority?

Perhaps we should also consider changing the name of Canada, since it is based on a Native name, which doesn’t reflect the current demographics.

Please, use your limited financial resources more wisely in serving the vast majority of Canadians and not what a particular B.C. academic is proposing.”

and this email to the UBC Professor of Geography, Howard Stewart:

“Dr. Stewart,

I came across the CBC article, Does British Columbia Need a New Name, in reference to your call for a name change, based, in part on changing demographics.

By that logic, we should also consider changing the name of Canada, since it is based upon a Native name, which doesn’t reflect the demographics of Canada ever since it was founded in 1867, and to this very day.”

This has now happened three times, with moderators at CBC.ca blocking my fact-based comments about Israel.

First, in pointing out the late Rabbi Ovadia Yosef’s comment about Gentiles existing to serve Jews, on an article about his passing. In that case, I actually provided a link to my sources, whereas someone else’s comment without a source, got through.

Then, my comment about Israel’s internet task force to combat “hate” was blocked.

And now, my comment on Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling on Jewish racism in Israel.

What at first made me shake my head has now annoyed me, as my tax dollars are being used for this censorship operation, and they have no reason to censor my fact-based comments that don’t violate their terms of agreement, being a public service, unlike a private service like that of the many online newspapers that have the right to block any comments for whatever reason.

From the News.ca.msn.com article, As many as 5 stabbed in Yonge/York Mills office in Toronto, we see an updated time of 10:36:03 GMT, which would be 6:36:03 AM EDT in Toronto.

Here is a screen capture I made of three articles in a Google search for “stabbing york mills”, showing two articles posted after the event, and this one 5 hours before, when it was at 11:17 AM EDT.

Update at 7:00 PM EDT:

I also searched Bing, confirming it’s not some bug with Google, and it also shows the MSN story being posted three hours before the reported stabbings.

Also, I am including the cached version, which is the original article, showing a post time of 10:24:15 GMT, which would be 6:24 AM EDT. Some have questioned whether it’s an West Coast/East Coast timing issue, where the article may have been written on the West Coast and published on an East Coast server, but notice that the story reports the stabbings as taking place around 9:30 AM EDT, and if that was the explanation this article still would have been published as late as 9:24 EDT — before the reported stabbings.

Nice to see my Canadian federal tax dollars hard at work. Apparently the very mention of Israel’s Internet Task Force to combat “hate” is worthy of being censored on Canada’s public broadcaster’s site, cbc.ca.

British flagFrom the April 29, 2013 CBC article, Neil Macdonald: The ‘monarchs of money’ and the war on savers, there is this surprising claim:

There is more money in British pension funds than in the rest of Europe combined, and now that money is just sitting, “dead,” as some call it, not working for its owners.

Surprising, since the rest of Europe is a huge entity, even considering Germany, France and Italy.

I like the way book authors are supposed to cite their sources but not, apparently, Canada’s public broadcaster, as I would like to see the source for this claim, since it is quite significant, illustrating a major cultural difference, if true.

From Canada’s national broadcaster, the CBC, here’s another reason why Canada continues to surpass the United States in economic freedom for four straight years, according to the conservative Heritage Foundation, and overall freedom, in better adhering to the principles of the U.S. Constitution than the United States itself, as I had noted in my recent interview with Doug Newberry:

Internal Defence Department reports show total spending on foreign deployments could to drop to just $5 million in the 2014-15 fiscal year from the current anticipated level of $476 million.

The figures are contained in a June 1, 2012 financial report by the Department’s assistant deputy minister of finance. The report was obtained by The Canadian Press under the Access to Information Act.

Revolver

The cultural divide over guns between Americans and Canadians was illustrated so vividly in these declarations by two prominent hosts of two Canadian public broadcasters.

From the January 9, 2013 episode of The Agenda with Steve Paikin on TVO, Steve Paikin said (at 11:41):

In the United States, where, as we know, they’re gun crazy… I shouldn’t have put it that way, but you know what I mean.

From the December 16, 2012 episode of the Sunday Edition with Michael Enright on Canada’s national broadcaster, the CBC, Michael Enright said:

The thing we must remember about the slaughter of the children on Friday is that it will have little or no impact on the crazed world of American firearms. The pattern is always the same.

and later:

The gun lobby in the US is impervious to public mourning and public heartbreak.

The ghouls who preside over the National Rifle Association couldn’t care less about the pile of tiny bodies in the Newtown school.

Or in Columbine. Or in Aurora. Or in Portland. Or anywhere.

They are in the death business and must protect the franchise.

I got into the difference in mindset on guns between Canadians and Americans on my January 9 appearance on Crisis of Reality with Doug Newberry (at 52:30).

As for what really happened with the Sandy Hook shooting, see Charles Giuliani’s December 17 and 18 episodes of Truth Hertz.
