Flu shotThis October 22, 2013 Toronto Star article, in Canada’s largest newspaper, Flu shot lessens chance of heart attack, stroke, falsely implies that the flu shot lowers the risk of a heart attack, when it’s only a correlation from selected samples.

According to a study published Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the chance of someone in their mid-60s suffering a major cardiac event such as a heart attack, stroke, heart failure or cardiac-related death are cut by 36 per cent if they have had a flu shot within the previous year.

And if they have already suffered a heart attack, their chances of suffering another major cardiac event within a year are 55 per cent lower if they get the vaccine.

So, despite the title, the study that is cited here doesn’t prove that taking the flu shot will lessen the chance of heart attacks. Apparently The Star and the study’s author would like to believe it is so, but they are still in the process of trying to come up with a study which we will likely never hear about, because it will almost certainly show it is NOT true. Correlation does not imply causation – it is just wishful thinking (and a timely propaganda piece to try and fool people into getting this shot; we always see them this time of year).

Hypodermic needle with needle capYou’d think that health professionals would be most knowledgeable about the benefits of the treatments they administer, so why do 52 per cent of Toronto health professionals not have the annual flu shot, according to this June 26, 2012 Toronto Star article?

This is in the context of them being “free,” through public taxes, for any resident of Ontario.

Fewer than half of Toronto’s health-care workers get annual flu shots. These are trained medical professionals who dress patients’ wounds, jab intravenous needles into their veins, empty their colostomy bags and put feeding tubes in their noses. They, if anyone, should know the risk of spreading an infectious disease that can be deadly for the elderly or those with compromised immune systems.

Yet 52 per cent refuse – or just don’t bother – to get vaccinated, insisting they should have the same rights as anyone else.

Good on the unions for standing behind their members’ rights:

The unions representing health-care workers strenuously oppose such actions. “Our approach has always to encourage the Ministry of Health and hospitals to work on education with hospital workers on the positive health impacts of immunization,” says one union official.

Remember how we are supposed to respect the professional opinion of professional workers? Not in this case, according to the Toronto Star editorial board:

Toronto would not be setting a precedent. Flu shots are already mandatory for health-care workers in North Bay. Nor would Ontario be breaking ground. It already requires health-care workers to be immunized for hepatitis B.

A flu shot takes less than 10 minutes. It’s a quick prick in the arm. If health-care workers won’t make the effort, it’s time to push them.

Inventing the AIDS Virus

I went to Peter Duesberg’s site, duesberg.com, and noticed he’s selling signed copies of his classic 1996 book, “Inventing the AIDS Virus” for only $25 USD. I got one a few years ago for a $350 donation to Rethinking AIDS, so enjoy the big discount!

If HIV is one day proven not to be the cause of AIDS — and I believe it will be — this will be one of the most important books of the past century.

Katherine AlbrechtOn the June 5, 2012 episode of the Dr. Katherine Albrecht Show, Katherine Albrecht, anti-RFID crusader and survivor of breast cancer, criticized the Health Ranger (Mike Adams), Joseph Mercola and G. Edward Griffin for being “all wet” concerning the “bogus stuff” they put out on cancer, saying a lot of it is “nonsense.”

She starts getting into it at 31:25, with key quotes starting 34 minutes in.

This is very significant considering the heavyweights all three of them are in the alternative media, with Mike Adams having one of the world’s most popular alternative health websites and being a regular guest on — and a regular contributor to — the Alex Jones Show. Joseph Mercola is a regular contributor to LewRockwell.com and G. Edward Griffin is best known for his magnum opus, The Creature from Jekyll Island, which is advertised many times daily on GCN programs.

Here are my questions for anyone who claims that HIV was created in a lab as a bioweapon. I originally posed these questions to Boyd Graves on February 22, 2008, and never received a response. At the time, his assistant said Graves was in the hospital and he would provide my questions to him:

1) How do you reconcile the existence of a blood sample from a Congolese man in 1959 that produced a positive HIV-antibody test result (http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9802/03/earliest.aids/) using the same test patented in 1984 and used to this very day, given that the Virus-Cancer program you say was responsible for the AIDS virus was conducted from 1962-1978?

2) There is strong evidence to suggest that Robert Gallo was unable to isolate HIV at all when he made his announcement on April 23, 1984 that he had found the ‘probable cause of AIDS’. Even in his scientific paper published nearly a week later, he claimed he could only find HIV-antibody in 44 out of 93 AIDS patients (let alone the actual HIV which was nearly indetectable in any AIDS patients until the use of PCR).
He was originally found guilty by the National Institutes of Health in 1992 on several cases of scientific misconduct (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?sec=health&res=9F0CEFDA103DF932A05751C1A964958260). It turned out that the pictures he first published of the HIV virus were the pictures sent to him by Luc Montagnier along with the HIV virus in 1983. Strong evidence suggests that Gallo hadn’t found the virus at all when he made his announcement, but had misappropriated it from Montagnier.

So I was wondering how you would explain his ability and the government’s ability to either create HIV or bio-engineer it to make it lethal in light of Gallo, being one of the leading scientists in the Virus-Cancer program and early leading HIV/AIDS figure working out of one of the best labs in the world, seemingly unable to even isolate HIV in 1984, 3 years into the AIDS epidemic?

I am willing to provide you with any information I have supporting these claims and would very much like to further delve into and debate this topic with you to get to the bottom of the true story of HIV/AIDS that has certainly been covered up to varying degrees by the establishment.

This explains, for instance, why the $300+ billion AIDS scam continues to persist, despite the strong evidence against the HIV/AIDS hypothesis. When someone will go along with the group, even when their eyes clearly tell them something different, what should we expect of most people who have had fear instilled in them since the 1980s, and are told by authority figures in white lab coats that everything is as they say it is?

Yesterday, I was stopped by a woman canvassing for Doctors Without Borders and was asked if I knew anything about them, and looking straight into her eyes, I said, “yes, you support the AIDS scam.”

I had a conversation that lasted a few minutes where she made some bizarre claims, and she said she would check out the 2800+ Rethinkers, Peter Duesberg and RethinkingAIDS.com as I suggested to her.

As for her bizarre statements, she said everyone has HIV and that it’s things that bring it out to cause AIDS (cofactors, anyone?)

The lesson in all this — get educated, then surprise people by challenging their assumptions, especially when their financial livelihood depends on it.
